Abstract

The current study sought to identify the psychometric properties of a scale of psychometric properties for children with autism disorder. To achieve the objectives of the study, a measure of independence skills was prepared for children with autism. The validity of the test was calculated by calculating the correlation coefficient between the scores of sample children on the prepared scale of independence skills. The values of the correlation coefficients ranged. The total score for the scale and the dimensions ranged between (0.675 - 0.742), and it became clear that all correlation coefficients between each statement of the independence skills scale and the total score for the scale were positive and statistically significant at the level of (0.01), which indicates the quality of the structure of the scale.

A stability coefficient was calculated using the spss program, version 23, and produced two stability coefficients, one of which was the Spearman-Brown coefficient, and the other was the Guttman-split Half Coefficient, and the researcher adopted the value that met the measurement conditions, which was corrected with the Guttman equation since it does not require that The variance in it is equal for the two halves, and it does not require that the Cronbach's alpha reliability coefficient be equal for the two halves. It became clear from the answers to the two questions of the study that the Marat Independence Scale has acceptable validity indicators, and also has acceptable reliability indicators.
