The Impact of the Visual thinking Strategy to Develop Skill Performance in Art Education for Ninth Grade Students in the State of Kuwait

Abstract

The impact of the visual thinking strategy to develop skill performance in art education for ninth grade students in the State of Kuwait the aim of the current research was to identify the impact of the visual thinking strategy on developing skill performance in art education for ninth grade students in the State of Kuwait. The research used the quasi-experimental approach, and a set of tools were used, represented by the program based on visual thinking networks (teacher’s guide, list of performance skills). Skills performance test, skill performance observation card. The basic research sample consisted of (50) ninth-grade male and female students who were divided into two groups, one experimental and the other a control group, each of which consisted of (25) students. The research concluded that there was a positive effect of the visual thinking strategy. In developing the skill performance in art education for ninth grade students in the State of Kuwait.

In light of the findings of the research, there are a number of recommendations, the most important of which are:

1. Paying attention to training students at different educational stages on skill performance skills for art education.

2. Interest in training teachers to use visual thinking networks in teaching.
