The research aimed to determine the effectiveness of a distance learning program using the Zoom platform to develop some new geographical concepts and geographical cognitive curiosity for students of the Social Studies Division of the General Diploma in the one-year system. A list of some new geographical concepts was prepared, and a list of some dimensions of geographical cognitive curiosity, and a list of some dimensions of geographical cognitive curiosity was prepared. A remote learning program using the Zoom platform, and the researcher prepared the research tools, which are: the electronic test of new geographical concepts, and the electronic scale of geographic cognitive curiosity. The experimental research sample consisted of (17) male and female students from the Social Studies Division of the General Diploma in the one-year system - College of Education - Assiut University for the academic year 2023/2024 AD, and the results of the research revealed that there was a great effectiveness of a distance learning program using the Zoom platform in developing some new geographical concepts, which amounted to (0.881), and in developing curiosity in geographical knowledge, amounting to (937,) for students of the Social Studies Division in the General Diploma. One year system.
