Abstract

The study aimed to reveal the application of fun learning activities in teaching mathematics at the primary stage in Medina from mathematics teachers' perspectives. To achieve this, the researcher designed a questionnaire consisting of (30) statements. The questionnaire was classified into three main dimensions and was applied to (295) primary mathematics teachers. The results revealed that the degree of mathematics teachers' use of fun learning activities in teaching mathematics was medium. In contrast, the fun learning activities suitable for teaching mathematics at the primary stage were identified at an average level of approval. On the other hand, teachers' difficulties in applying fun learning activities in teaching mathematics were high. The study recommended several recommendations, most notably developing mathematics curricula, including fun learning activities in teaching and learning mathematics, providing guidelines for their efficient use, and preparing model lessons that apply fun learning activities in teaching mathematics. Besides, it was recommended that lessons and activities based on fun learning should be uploaded to the Ministry's website for widespread use and to raise the level of awareness of mathematics teachers about the philosophy of fun learning. Moreover, it is essential to educate, qualify, and train teachers on the objectives and effectiveness of fun learning by holding training programs and workshops to help them use its activities in the educational process.
