Abstract

The psychometric properties of the list of practical practices of parents of language development disorders children

This study aimed at preparing a list of practical practices of parents of language development disorders children, ensuring its reliability and validity and writing its criteria. To achieve this, a list of practical practices of parents of language development disorders children was developed. The list was composed of 84 questions that were divided into 5 dimensions. These dimensions are: 1. The practical practices of parents in discovery stage. 2. The practical practices of parents in diagnosis stage. 3. The practical practices of parents in home towards the child with language disorder. 4. The practical practices of parents in introducing information for specialists. 5. The practical practices of parents in treatment stage. To ensure the reliability and validity of the list, it was administered to 50 of parents of language development disorders children. The results showed that the list of practical practices of parents of language development disorders children was highly valid and reliable so it is valid to be used
